Congratulations Sonny…

The hard work was all worth it for Sonny Barrah as he achieved success once again; this time at the Global Powerlifting World Championships in the Czech Republic. 

Competing in the under 82.5kg category Sonny took the title for his age group breaking world records for squat, deadlift and bench lifts.

Squat:        253kg
Bench:        167.5kg 
Deadlift:    273kg

At the age of 20, Sonny now holds 4 World Records, 6 European Records and is British Powerlifting Champion.

Sonny competed at the World Championships as part of Team GB, who also picked up the trophy for the Overall Best Raw Team at the event.

Next stop the 2017 GPC-GB British Finals in November.
